Moving Towards AI & Data Science

More than a decade ago, inspired by the success of some online communities where people can share their knowledge and experience with others, I have built a simple CMS and started writing articles and tutorials about software programming with focus on the Vietnamese developers. Day after day the content was growing steadily a long with the site’s traffic.

Through many mistakes and failures, in late 2016, major changes were made to turn the blog into a platform and the project was also migrated to a new domain Soon after the release, the site’s monthly page views hit half a million and for the very first time users started to engage into content generation (it had never happened before that). We later got our first sponsorship from one of the most IT recruiting companies in Vietnam, Those early humble milestones aren’t worth mentioning much if they weren’t achieved by a team of just a few young people working under a limited timeline and budget.

After a long time persevering with the original idea, I’ve now decided to shift the focus to AI & Data Science. The reason for this is to adapt with the change, namely, the emergence of AI and Data Science. What this simply means is that the site will be updated with content about AI and data science instead of software programming. Another drastic change is that the language will be English instead of Vietnamese. Why is it? This is because English is not only a popular language used in daily communication but also in science and technology and many other fields. And personally, I find it’s tricky to translate English text into Vietnamese without modifying or losing some of the original meaning. Another compelling reason is that, English is a pretty easy language to pick up.
